It has been quite a while.  Just wanted to check in and touch base with our readers.  We had our first biweekly bike ride yesterday which was really great.  We rode down the east river through Battery Park and then came up Hudson Park and over on 34th St back to the shop.  The weather was absolutely perfect!!

Just wanted to say hello

Well, 'tis the season. Iced Coffee season is upon us. Come in and find out what people are say is as addicting as crack. We hope that's a good thing. Not crack certainly!!

We cold brew it. And it's just freakin delicious. I bet you won't even need any milk.

We're all set for The Grilled Cheese Invitational-signed up, registered and "training" hard. We've taken all of those fantastic cheeses from Murray's and tried them all. Some were good, but some of them were great. Don't want to leak too much information just yet but were definitely all set with our sandwich for the missionary category and pretty much all set for our sandwich in the kama sutra category. As a teaser, I think our seasonal leaning vegetarian peeps out there will be happy with our direction in the kama sutra category. The honey pot sandwich is still a bit off?, but there's a couple cool, creative ideas on the table and we'll have it sorted this week.

Generally, it's a pretty fun process-who doesn't love grilled cheese? We've been doing a lot of experimentation with different flavor combinations, different breads and different cheeses; seeing what works and what doesn't and taking opinion polls. All in all, I think it's going pretty well and we hope to bring at least one trophy back to NY....
