Well, it looks like we have a construction start date! Monday August 17th we'll be breaking ground. I must say, what a relief. I think I knew deep down that it would happen eventually, I was just struggling with when that day would come. When you are working and working toward something, it is really hard to keep moving forward when you don't really see that light at the end of the tunnel. Well, ladies and gentlemen, that light is so bright, I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open!
I just want to thank everyone who has helped keep us moving forward for the last few months. It has been hard for all of us to do it alone and to all of you, and you know who you are, we are eternally grateful.
PHEWWWWWWWW. Well, it is about friggin time! Had our meeting at 10:20 this morning, got our permits at 1:45pm. All permits. Really really exciting stuff. Thanks to everyone who has been there talking me (jeremy) through. I truly never thought I would see the day, but here we are. And now we move forward. Onward and upward towards the stress that we'll experience when we're breaking down walls. I will say that I welcome that stress with open arms.
Well it is Friday August 7th folks. Monday is right around the corner. I am currently in possession of all the revised drawings for Jerzy our plan examiner. Let us just all hope and pray that we have complied with all of his requests and made all the necessary adjustments for him to give us our approval on the spot.
I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. It seems as though the weather is going to be rather pleasant, like a nice beach weekend.
So, have some semi decent news. I have the form that we need to file with the Plan Examiner that will hopefully allow us to claim an exemption from obtaining a Certificate of No Harassment from the Housing Preservation and Development department. So, what I am asking of you is that Monday, August 10th 2009 at 10:20 in the morning, you say a little prayer for me as I sit down with our plan examiner and present all of our corrected objections. I think if we speak loud enough, the big man with the plan may give us a little pass. Anyways, thank you all for your continued support and encouragement. All two or three of you that may be reading this.
So, we are still trying to figure out how to approach this SRO- non harassment situation. We're thinking it's as simple as filling out the first part of the form and then handing in the C of O with it, but nobody, except one individual, seems to have any Friggin' clue. I hope that Jaime is correct. Aside from the DoB issues, everything else is really running along kinda smoothly. Food purveyors are coming together, wine, beer, coffee etc. etc.
Thats about it for now. Keep checkin back for more update.
