Our Thoughts The Nyamasheke coffee region in Rwanda, located in the western part of the country along the shores of Lake Kivu, is renowned for its high-quality Arabica coffee, particularly Bourbon varieties. The area's volcanic soil, high altitude (1,500–2,000 meters), and temperate climate create ideal growing conditions, resulting in coffee with bright acidity, complex fruit notes, and a smooth body. Smallholder farmers, often organized into cooperatives, dominate production, and the region has gained international recognition for its sustainable practices and contributions to Rwanda's growing specialty coffee industry.

After trying their delectable Ethiopian Yigracheffe - which had a great balance of nuttiness and acidity - I had to give their other African coffee a shot. This Rwandan Nyamashke was a different beast, with unapologetically floral notes bursting everywhere, perfect for mid/late Spring!

Very good, nutty and earthy, not overpowering. Dry finish.

Best coffe!
I am a coffee addict, love the stuff. Birch coffee is by far the best flavor ever. I am on a subscription so it comes automatically and I hoard the stuff anyways in case there's a shortage!
